EcoOutfitters Can Help Bill O’Reilly Go Solar

November 23rd Update: Breaking News!

Last night Bill O’Reilly announced on his show, The Factor, that he received 60 letters (“from the crazy people”) and he has found a solar installer on Long Island who will be giving him a quote. “I’m a green guy and I’m absolutely investing in it,” he told Alan Colmes. “He will come over and give me a price and I’m going to report back to you because I don’t want to be dependent on OPEC. I don’t think anybody else does.”

Well, Mr. O’Reilly, we are thrilled you are starting to “see the light.” Your dependency on LIPA, not OPEC, will decrease, which we’re sure you would be happy about as well.

We can’t wait to hear about your next steps with the “legit guy from LI.

Last week I received an out-of-breath call from my Dad as he was running on the treadmill. While glancing at the gym’s TV, he caught something that boggled his mind. “Raina, can you believe this #&^$?! Bill O’Reilly can’t find any solar installer on Long Island to help him go solar!” I understood his surprise. “Dad, don’t worry,” I said jokingly, “I live 20 minutes away from his Manhassat home. If it’s too much trouble to Google ‘solar installer on Long Island, I’ll take a ride over and help him out.”

In all seriousness, though, I know Mr. O’Reilly likes Twitter, as do I,  so I immediately tweeted him my offer.

Mr. O’Reilly, I’m not looking to put a spin on this, I have a very simple proposition. I am a fellow Long Islander and have not only installed a solar system on my own roof that is saving me 60 percent on every LIPA bill that comes in, but I have built an entire business around helping people such as yourself who are in the exact predicament.

EcoOutfitters helps homeowners understand their specific costs and benefits of going solar through a free personalized report. We then connect them with local solar installers that can get the job done.

I have generated a report for you as an example but to be more accurate, we would need to know your average monthly bill (I used $400 as an estimate). This report has been emailed to you. You can also do it yourself now, for free: Solar Savings Report.

EcoOutfitters usually makes all the connections online but in your case, I am willing to hand deliver a report and have  three qualified local solar installers come along with me to each give you a personalized quote.

UPDATE: On November 22nd, The Vote Solar Initiative submitted the following letter to The O’Reilly Factor, as well as to Alan Colmes who Bill O’Reilly challenged to produce solar options. We will continue to tweet Mr. O’Reilly daily…  he can’t get away with denying that solar in New York is thriving!

Dear Mr. O’Reilly,

We hear you are ready to go solar pending your ability to locate a solar provider. We represent some of the hundreds of solar companies currently operating in New York State. We would be happy to help you get started with your investment in solar so you can join the many New Yorkers who are already saving money on their monthly utility bills by generating their own power.
